The best way to describe Jeremy's business background is "varied"! His original experience was in retail management, where he gained considerable experience in purchasing, stock management and product merchandising before getting involved in marketing.
He became the marketing director, and later general manager of a successful multi-million pound retail and mail order business, and on completion of the sale of the business to the Leisure Group plc in 1997 he became a general business and marketing consultant. After completing an MBA at the University of Portsmouth, he joined City based dot com incubator company Protégé in 2000. Whilst at Protégé, he was responsible for the launch of two start-up internet businesses. Leaving Protégé after the dot com balloon deflated, he joined Specsavers to set up and launch its online contact lens business, Lensmail.com, leaving to join online marketing agency DVisions as a director in 2003, where he has worked on both traditional and online marketing projects for a wide range of different type of client, from the mighty News International Corporation to the smallest micro and start-up business. |
